From Africa and Brazil to Australia, New Zealand and Canada, these are stories about getting out of your comfort zone, making mistakes, meeting people, taking risks and discovering that the best journeys rarely go exactly as planned.
This is not a conventional guidebook.
It is an invitation to travel... and perhaps to look at your own life a little differently.

Why Kickstarter
Why Kickstarter?
The first edition was created independently, and now I want to bring Borboleta Travels to a much wider audience.
Kickstarter will help fund the creation and production of the English edition while allowing the first international readers to become part of the journey from the beginning.
This isn’t about funding an idea that may never become a book.
The book already exists.
It’s about helping take it to its next destination.

About the author
Meet Jana
I left Slovakia after university and chose a life shaped by travel, curiosity and new experiences.
Since then, I’ve lived abroad, travelled to more than 70 countries and collected stories that eventually became the book called Borboleta Travels.
I wrote, designed and published the original book myself. It has already found readers in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Now I want to take it one step further and bring these stories to English-speaking readers.
The next chapter starts soon.
The first journey took me around the world.
The second became a book.
Now I’d like to take Borboleta Travels on its next journey — to English-speaking readers.
